DESCRIPTION:DINNER in the DARK is an event to raise awareness and bring attention to the sight-impaired. We challenge those in attendance to step outside of our comfort zone and live\, if only for a few minutes\, as someone in the perpetual darkness called blindness. While you work your way through a simple meal\, you will be immersed in a world where one might feel alone and powerless. By shedding a light on blindness we are hopeful that more individuals in our community will help us continue the work that we do.\n\n\n\nWith the proceeds from previous events we have successfully helped numerous individuals receive much needed eye exams\, eye glasses\, and sight-saving eye surgeries. We have donated thousands in funding to achieve this success thanks to our generous community and sponsors. Sight conservation is the mission of Lions Clubs International.
