DESCRIPTION:The Lompoc First United Methodist Church at 925 North F Street will have a free organ concert on Sunday\, 24 May at 3:00 p.m. Guest organist will be Graham Blyth from Wantage\, Oxfordshire England where he is the Artistic Director of the Wantage Chamber Concerts and Director of the Wantage Festival of Arts. Graham is the President of Veritas Organ Company and custom designed the organ for the Lompoc First United Methodist Church. He is an internationally acclaimed concert organist who has given concerts on many of the major pipe organs in the world. His concert will contain works by Buxtehude -"Prelude Fugue & Ciacona in C\," Bach - "Trio Sonata 5\," Mendelssohn - "Sonata No. 2\," Ogden - "Scherzo for the White Rabbit\," Whitlock\, Vierne and Saint-Sa ns. There will be a reception honoring Mr. Blyth after the concert. Contact the church office at 736-1271 for more information about the concert.
