DESCRIPTION:The Lompoc First United Methodist Church will present a concert featuring the Ohio Northern University National Tour Choir on Thursday\, May 26\, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.\n\nThe event is free and open to the public.\n\nA freewill love offering for the touring group will be taken\n \n\nThe Ohio Northern National Tour Choir is on a 43-day concert tour to 26 states during May and June 2016. The choir consists of members of the ONU University Singers\, the top choral ensemble at ONU.  The choir is under the direction of Dr. Ben Ayling.\n\n \n\nThe concert will be in three sections. One of the songs to be presented in the sacred segment will be "Precious Lord\, Take My Hand" by Howard Helvey.  The second segment will include international and contemporary music. The choir will sing a piece by Eriks E envalds titled "Stars." This is a setting of a Sara Teasdale text accompanied by tuned water glasses and Tibetan singing bowls.   The final segment of the concert will focus on American music. The choir will present a double choir setting of "Anything You Can Do\, I Can Do Better" from "Annie Get Your Gun."
