DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the  Lompoc  Valley Distance Club\, this is the 40th Annual Valley of the Flowers Half-Marathon\, held at La Purisima Mission on a scenic off-road course. The run/walk event starts at 8 AM on Saturday\, September 26\, 2015. There is also a 5K. The course is hilly\, mostly dirt with sections of sand and pavement. Every mile and turn is marked. Entry includes post-race refreshments\, chicken BBQ\, entry fee to State Park\, runners jersey (5K - short-sleeved shirt)\, and finishers medal. Extra BBQ meals available for purchase.\n\n\n\nPacket pick-up starts at 7 AM on race day\, Saturday\, September 26\, 2015 in front of the visitor center\, which is adjacent to the parking lot at La Purisima Mission. The race starts at 8 AM and the course is closed at noon.\n\n\n\nRegistration forms are also available at the Chamber office.
