The Sarah Raines Concert Series presents "Classy and Sassy" featuring Sarah Raines, vocalist, and Yun Murphy, pianist. This event will be free, fun and family-friendly; all ages are welcome. The "Class" Sarah Raines is a classically-trained vocalist collaborating with accomplished piano accompanist Yun Murphy. The concert will feature classical pieces in French by Ravel and Spanish by de Falla. For those who don't speak French or Spanish, Sarah will give a brief, interesting background and translation on each song. The pieces are short and sweet and a great way to expose young (and not so young!) minds to classical music. The "Sass" Expect to laugh! Sarah and Yun recently performed this concert's opening number Vandenberg's "Dancing with the Commanders" to great success and lots of laughs. You'll hear cabaret music by Carner & Gregor, music theatre by Maury Yeston, and the concert will end with a well-known traditional number for a sing-along.
