American Association of University Women (AAUW) has been involved with educating the public about the issue on Human Trafficking since November 2014. In April 2015, Carissa Phelps, author of "Runaway Girl" spoke to an overflow crowd in Lompoc.
This program will educate the public about Human Trafficking. It will have a selection of speakers to continue the dialogue with the community, so that they can learn more about the recent grant of $1.34 million awarded to the sheriff’s Dept. and The District Attorney’s Office of SB County. We are interested in the planning for the grant so far and future planning.
