Design A Library Card Contest

Calling Artists Of All Ages And Styles! The Lompoc Public Library System is currently holding a contest asking the communities of Lompoc, Vandenberg Village and Buellton to help create designs of a new line of library cards. All ages are welcome to enter and multiple winners will be selected by the Library's Art Advisory Committee. Once the contest is over, library patrons will be able to come into the library and be able to select a library card of their choice from several design options. This is the chance for community members to submit their work in hopes of being one of the new designs, gaining them exposure and recognition. Beyond having their design featured on an official library card, the winners will also receive a gift certificate for a local business. Any medium used to create the design will be accepted, including but not limited to: crayon, marker, colored pencil, and paint or computer design software. The judging will be based on design quality and other characteristics such as content, color, creativity, relevance, originality, reproducibility, and a clear and positive message.
