Empty Bowls

Description

This well-loved event provides the Lompoc community with an opportunity to partner with the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County in meeting the needs of local children, families and seniors.  For a $25 donation, luncheon participants choose a custom, ceramic bowl, enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread, and water, and then take home the bowl as a reminder of the meal’s purpose to help reduce short-term hunger in our community and provide nutritional literacy for a healthier future.  Local artists, food establishments, businesses and individuals come together to make Empty Bowls a fun event, while raising funds for a great cause!  This year Empty Bowls will be at a new location, the Dick DeWees Center, 1120 W Ocean Avenue in Lompoc.
