Description
Sponsored by the Lompoc Valley Distance Club, this is the 40th Annual Valley of the Flowers Half-Marathon, held at La Purisima Mission on a scenic off-road course. The run/walk event starts at 8 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015. There is also a 5K. The course is hilly, mostly dirt with sections of sand and pavement. Every mile and turn is marked. Entry includes post-race refreshments, chicken BBQ, entry fee to State Park, runners jersey (5K - short-sleeved shirt), and finishers medal. Extra BBQ meals available for purchase.
Packet pick-up starts at 7 AM on race day, Saturday, September 26, 2015 in front of the visitor center, which is adjacent to the parking lot at La Purisima Mission. The race starts at 8 AM and the course is closed at noon.
